Jasper National Park Lodge

Not everything can be controlled by diet and exercise. Sometimes your mind needs an overhaul as badly, if not more, than your body. The only sure way to accomplish this is to totally vacate your area of routine and escape to an unknown stress free environment. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I certainly would love to go somewhere that is permeated with nature. I do not want a crowded beach or city lights. I’m talking blow me away natural scenery and starlit nights. I am considering the refurbishing of my mental health by travelling to a Jasper National Park lodge.

Scope Mount

I often visulaize the human body as a battlefield. Our immune systems are constantly fighting off foreign invaders. Our antibodies are like entrooped soldiers just waiting for the call to duty. Many places in today’s world have these troops and weapons in waiting for deployment. The technologies like a scope mount for a laser weapon or heat sensors in bombs also, in my mind, resemble the intelligence of defense and often offense that our body has. Medicine is similar to weaponry in a sense that each new drug is a new weapon against disease. Too bad all the great minds that develop new ways to kill couldn’t put their efforts in new ways to live.

A Deal On Coffee Tables

I am really beginning to get disturbed and concerned about my family’s health. Proper nutrition has been my number one focus for our family. With food prices soaring during the, in my mind still existing recession, I fear where this is all going. Sure you can find deals on things like coffee tables and dining room tables. My interest lies on what I will be able to serve on them. It seems that everything we can live without is getting more and more competitive and everything we really need to live with is soaring. I think there is something rotten in Denmark.

A Burnaby Condo

I am getting itchy feet. Even though I am in better than average health for my age, I no longer have the energy nor desire to maintain my single family home. I feel it is time to move to a smaller less maintainable place. Friends have been buzzing about one of our neighbors moving to a Burnaby condo in the Vancouver, Canada area. I simply love it up there and would seriously consider purchasing one. I can’t imagine these condos living up to all the hype I’ve been hearing. I will say this, if they are what my neighbors say they are, I’m there.

Culprit Coffee Tables

I kept wondering why my bloodwork numbers weren’t improving. My wife is extremely concientious when it comes to giving the family the healthiest meals possible. Healthy food is a constant (sometimes to the point of annoyance) topic in our family conversations. So, then, what is the problem? I play handball or basketball four times a week. I only consume alcohol on rare occasion. One night while vegging on the sofa, I realized the bowls of chips and candies were pretty empty. We usually leave them full for entertaining any visitors. Our neighborhood is very friendly and people often come over. This time no one had been over for about two weeks. Guess who ate the goodies. No more coffee tables in our house. I put them in the garage.
