I had this weird idea that I had to do something for the people that were victims of a fierce tornado not far from where I live. I went out and got a motorhome rental and stocked it with basic triage supplies. I picked up my brother and sister-in-law and we drove to the heart of the disaster area. I can never express how wonderful it felt to actually have the opportunity to make a difference in the health and lives of our fellow citizens. It gave me a new understanding of the work people like The American Red Cross and similar organizations provide.
